VIII. Justice (The Black Tarot).
Justice is blind in nature. She looks at the world with bloody empty eye sockets, but sees more than a sighted person. She has no language, but Justice is ready to speak loudly with those who will listen to her. Justice is cut off from the material world, it does not need to stand on earth, its water is its own blood, its food is its own flesh, and the firmament under the feet of Justice is its pure spirit, it does not need others.
Before sinful justice, every sin is exposed, but someone else's blood overflowing the scales is invisible to her, not one soul seems to Justice deserving of mercy, not a single virtue can outweigh the severity of vice. Everyone will be punished, no one will escape the punishing blow of a sharp sword.
Meaning in a straight position: right; honesty, integrity; karma; revenge.
Value in the inverted position: unexpected injustice, defeat in a situation that seemed to be a win-win; discord between reason and feelings; prejudice.
A card that reinforces the meaning: the Emperor-Arkan of iron will, who is ready to evaluate others impartially, he fully corresponds to the image of a fair judge, while others are judged, not himself.
A map weakening the meaning: Five of Swords means defeat in a battle, where everything was decided by force, and not the truth, which can sometimes be a defeat for Justice itself.
A card that changes meaning: Judgment means accepting the past as it is, which means Justice combined with it symbolizes honest, fair self-righteousness, readiness to accept punishment for any sins committed.
