VII. Chariot (The Black Tarot).
The Chariot carries the one who rules it, forward, to the intended goal, not deviating from the chosen path, whatever it may be - simple or complex. The harness is strong, the wheels are reliable, but the driver does not see the path and can only rely on his own intuition, choosing the road. The Chariot itself and the animals harnessed into it obey him, but only by bringing together all his will, can he truly rule without fear of catastrophe.
It is worthwhile for the driver to weaken control, to lose his concentration.
at least for a moment, the Chariot will go astray, everything will go ashes: the wheels will roll in different directions, the harness will break and, until that moment, the submissive beasts will pounce on the driver to tear him to pieces without the slightest pity.
Meaning in a direct position: the victory of reason over conventions; full control over the situation; power over circumstances; concentration of physical and mental strength.
Value in the inverted position: Loss of control; defeat; rebellion, war.
A card that enhances value: A magician means unshakable purposefulness; it is the magician who can control the Chariot, lead it to its intended goal, not allowing it to deviate from the chosen path.
A weakening map: The Eight of Swords symbolizes constraint, inability to move, contrary to the rapid movement of the Chariot.
A map that changes the meaning: Ten Swords, Arkan of grief, death, defeat, destroys the stability of the Chariot's turn, replacing it with an impetuous fall into the abyss, and predicts the fatal end of the path, no matter how smoothly smooth it may seem at the beginning with the Ten of Swords, the Chariot becomes a sign of imminent destruction.
